Engraved in me
The joy of the past
Engraved in you
"It just didn't last"
"Take me to the haven of your bed
Was something that you never said"
And well it's true I never asked
Was far too daunting of a task
For a boy like me, I was only 16
Love was new and so pristine
If I only knew then, what I know now
I would have had you, oh and how
I would have had you!
