A Love / Hate Poem
I had a great time
last night.
I'll call you
in the morning --
I love you.
It was a night never
to forget.
Was it really what I felt?
like nothing really
matters anymore.
You told me you were
going to call me.
You never did.
I called you.
Why didn't you answer?
A person's love is
not to be
used and thrown away.
Do you play this game with everyone?
Why me?
Was it the jacket I wore,
or maybe
this is just a bad dream.
Tomorrow will come
around the corner.
