An old blue sweater,
Torn and ratty,
They can't see,
It's significance to me
It has one hole in it's sleeve
Ok two,
Fine it has three,
Happy?
I don't think it looks that bad personally,
So full of memories,
Though now some are bittersweet,
I could swear if I bury my nose deep,
The scent of my favorite horse, Cassie,
Still lingers in it's threads,
Though she is now lost to me,
I could swear the voices of my friends still ring,
Within the stitching,
Laughs from days gone by
To which I still cling,
I hug it close to me,
Bidding those memories to never leave,
To comfort and bring serenity,
No matter how torn and ratty,
No matter how they may entreat,
I swear my old blue sweater shall never leave me.

Yhnks-i'm very sentimental-even with simple object so that's where this came from-I wore this sweater the 2 best winter of my life so that's why i chose to use it as the topic-plus is VERY soft and blue-my favorite color-so ya'know that just makes it better :)
