Forsaken
You left me sitting on the dock
Adrift amidst a hurricane of floating clocks
 All stopped on the hour
When you turned our relationship sour
 Broken, shattered bleeding glass
Is all that remains of our shadowy past
 Hands shaking, slightly twitching
 Bloodshot eyes insisting on itching
Of all people I was the one who was there
Through tempestuous torment I still held you dear
But as soon as the storms turned inward
 You disappeared, leaving me injured
Sitting with drops falling on my quartz face
I retreat away to a different time and place
Where the clocks are still ticking and we are having a ball
And you are next to me, there after all.
