Softball
i'm ok,
maybe even good,
at softball.
i mean it's not that hard.
just catch the ball that's
flying towards your face
then either take or throw
the ball to where it
needs to go.
simple really.
you just need to listen to
your coaches,
they'll tell you wherer it
needs to go
or what needs to be done.
just stay awake,
be alert.
be 'on your toes'
as my coach says.
you really do have time
to make a good play.
i mean,
two legs can only
move so fast,
and are no match
for a ball that's
being rocketed to the
base that you
just happen to be
trying to get to.
maybe thats why
they created the slider.
so that you can just
drop down and skid
your way to the bag
and pray that
your foot gets to the bag
before the ball.
