This is my confession, for everyone to see.
Let me kneel here, and I will let you watch;
Pretending I am unaware of this populated presence.
I will speak into the screen, voice soft in
Embarrassment that I have hidden
For years and years and years.
This is my confession, for everyone to hear.
Let my voice echo against the pews:
I will let you listen, as my repentance
Pillows off the silence, into your ears.
And when I stand, every one will disperse
Like cockroaches, religious for a moment.
