For Love
For Love
They say it’s an unforgivable crime,
To kill for the sake of love.
But killing those who are already lifeless,
Surely doesn’t matter too much
They say blood is never a symbol of true love.
But blood is red and so is my heart.
Further I need every drop of this blood,
To write this letter for love.
I slit open my heart,
And with every drop of my bleeding heart,
With every shred of my failing strength,
I’ll write my letter for love.
My words for you will be few,
They won’t hurt you I promise.
Just a remembrance of the misty dew,
The starlit nights and the new moon.
My blood will stain the pages blank.
Fill the empty pages with wild delight.
And when you have a moment or two to spare,
They will remind you of someone who cared.
Believe me it’s not a punitive act,
It isn’t meant to bring you grief.
There isn’t any poison or drug.
Just drops of tears intermingled with my blood.
It won’t disgust you, I can assure.
Because my love for you is pure.
No poison runs in my veins,
Now that you are not here to pull my reigns.
You have already sucked out my soul,
So my little sacrifice for love,
Isn’t meant to be grieved or condoled.
Instead appreciate the bravery of love.
I’ll be gone by the time,
You lay your hands on this letter.
Don’t cry on my fate,
It happened for the better.
For love I’ve been the unforgivable killer,
Ripped my heart for love.
I’ll be condemned for this heinous crime,
For ending a life at its prime.
But at least I’ll shed this burden,
Which has been weighing upon me so long.
I’ll walk away with no grievances,
For I’ve sacrificed myself FOR LOVE…..
