"Forgive and Forget".

I wait by the window,
The only sight is rain,
My heart feels really low,
It’s filling me with pain.

I’m always shy,
Make friends?
Should I try?

When I walk,
There is no light,
And when I talk,
It’s only a whisper.

There are too many doors,
That are locked,
And I don’t have the key.

I’m a girl in the dark,
Without a path,
Drip, drop…

This inspiration for this poem was an assignment from my sixth grade English teacher. The assignment was to write a poem from the point of view of the protagonist, Margot in All summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury.
