Our nerves were shocked
When, we first talked.
Praying to God that we would not look like fools.
I realized what you said was true
That I was only talking to a normal guy.
But I bet you were nerves the whole way through.
You’re that down to Earth guy
That she has so told me about.
The kind, caring, gentle
Guy that I love.
Dear Lord if you may take me back to yesterday.
When he said,
“You’re beautiful.”
