Constellations of Hearts
Our wild beating hearts make up constellations
As we travel apart across the boundless nations
I staple together twenty three post cards and send them your way
Hoping for your epic letter keeps me on my feet through the day
These constellations steer me to your familiar face
To get here I’ve traveled through time and space
I find myself home at your familiar door
Finding that it’s comfortable to be where I’ve been before
After so many months your heart has made my latitudes
You have to remind me it’s not the distance that’s hard it’s our attitudes
We compare our weathered hearts
The beating bruise, the damaged parts
And forgive the common tear
We mentally castrate the boys that put them there
Our hearts are maps of the continents we’ve explored
Scars on our sleeves mark the hard times we’ve endured
I say, “I’m with you and I remember you’re all in me that’s good.”
You wrap me up in your warm arms like I knew you would

I really love this a lot. :)
Ahaha "We mentally castrate..."
* Line 13- tear as in rip not crying.
