the truth behind my words
When I tell them we are offical
They tell me I could do better
I say “but he’s great” (force a smile)
I’m not lying
I do think he’s great
What I don’t tell them,
(What I don’t dare say out loud for I have a hard time admitting it even to myself)
is that it doesn’t matter who I’m with… I’m not going to be happy because I’m not with you.
