Locked Up
Look inside me, deep into my eyes.
 Are you afraid?
 What do you see?
 Over there is passion,
 up there is grief,
 and back there is pain.
 To your left is frustration,
and on your right is something kept hidden and locked up.
Only one person knows the combination
and it’s caring, concern, and understanding.
 What’s beyond the locked doors?
One thing that very few have seen.
 Love.
Many have seen it, but were blind.
Everything inside me is kept locked away.
 I ask for no pity,
I only ask for someone to open up their safe
and let me see what they have locked up.
