I was in another lifetime,
one of porcelain lips,
when mirrors were my saviour
I wore famine on my hips.
I turned around to face myself
and saw a creature without home.
Drawing near, another daytime
for me to call my own.

On that silver-eyed morning
I set free my darkest dove
and left the earth my morals
set forth to find new love.
I killed the past in bleeding smoke
and laughter, dirty clothes.
Drawing near, another daytime
for me to call my own.

I was tousled through the starlight
by the ages, frowned upon.
I lit one last velvet candle,
it was time to carry myself on.
In this world of black-pierced fluorescent light,
and gilded men, fighting to rome,
here comes another daytime
for me to call my own.

'you touched my heart, through it's shell'

It's easy for repitition to sound cheesy, but this didn't at all.  Great work, I love this poem.

~Make a wish, it's up to you, find the strength inside, and watch your dreams come true, you don't need a shooting star, the magic's right there in your heart, close your eyes, believe, and make a wish~ (yes it's from a song :D)
