Resistance?
Standing at the very edge,
Ready to leap from the cliff.
Standing on the brink of absolution.
Ready for the world to burn.
Standing there,
As the thoughts race through your mind.
Standing on the border line of sanity,
Wishing the world were perfect.
Standing with a dream,
A dying, impossible dream.
Standing for peace,
Teetering on the knife’s tip of destruction.
Standing for the end of it all,
Standing up for the innocent dead,
Standing for the persecuted geniuses,
Standing for Resistance!
And yet,
When standing isn’t enough,
What shall you do?
Sit like all the rest of the doomed,
The mortal,
The weak,
The cowards?
Or scream till the echoes can be heard,
Clear round the world.
Until all the echoes fill the ears of the children,
Who are most likely to listen.
Softer at heart than the stony deaf in authority.
Will you scream until their ears bleed?
Will you fight, even when they’ve bound you in a cell,
In solitude from the deaf and the blind,
Those to detached to see the flames,
Even as they lick at their heels.
Will you Resist?!
