Zeus Didn't Guess
We thought that the starts were sacred
Many years ago,
Made up legends about the moon
Being a beautiful princess,
Shunned scientists and stamped them as sorcerers,
And held fast to our legends and myths,
Our omnipotence and destiny,
Our soothsayers and prophets.
Now, science is taught in schools,
And children's authors mock the Greek Gods
Of years past.
Zeus didn't guess.
