your silhouette leans on the door way
but I can still make out your face,
even from the end of the driveway in the dark
it is unmoving
you have grown older
in the past few weeks
and now I see it
right in front of me
Tonight
you hold yourself higher
you keep yourself tighter
and the look on your face
is one of a young man
and no longer a boy
your kiss is sweeter
your touch is more sincere
it is a new bolt of energy
that runs through you
