When did we stop caring,
loving, appriciating each other
I can tell you when
It was when
childhood ran out
and mom said
its time to grow up
when people started judging
when my best friend left me
for people who smoke
and curse with every other word
It was when
my clothes werent a brand name
and caring
was seen as a weakness
It was when I realized
I could be so nice,
so nice and never get it back
It was when I found out,
I wasnt good enough
So why should I care
if they dont
My heart is
aching and tired,
stressed and torn
But even when they all
have stopped caring,
...I still will.

This peice is very close to me. I wrote this and decided to preform it because I feel like everyone can connect to it deeply in some way.
