911 used to be a number of justice now instead
it's thought of the day hundreds were dead
when the plane hit the building more than seen did explode
people inside had families whose emotions went down a different road
the levees in the south were made to protect
but people behind them did not detect that
they all would fail; they would break
and after the storm all that was left was a debris filled lake
some still think the economy is strong, but
truth is it's weak but pray that it won't last long
we can count on a president who said,"Yes we can"
promised to do what needed to be done since he first ran
good can come out of the worst of times, horrible places
when a plane landed in a river, New York didn't have a single dead face
