The room spins
the lights dim
showing bright splotches of brightness
through my lashes.
I hold my head high
as your face blurs
before me.
Your smile becomes fuzzy.
I can't see straight,
but I can still hear.
I am only blind,
but your words cut
much deeper
than the sneering
grin
slashed across your face.
I cannot see your lips moving,
but the scornful laughter
rings
loud,
echoed in the background.
Still, I keep my head held high.
I can't
let it drop.
Not even a little.
Because if I do,
my pain will be free to fall
down, down.
I am blinded by those tears,
but I can still hear
perfectly clear
the sneering laughter
as you point,
"Hah! Her?!"

This is very nice. I like your voice and conventions. It was beautiful.

It is cruel, you know, that music should be so beautiful. It has the beauty of loneliness of pain: of strength and freedom. The beauty of disappointment and never-satisfied love. The cruel beauty of nature and everlasting beauty of monotony. <3

My favorite quote I always say is:How does one find happiness in making another lose their own and Love comes and goes like a revolving door waiting to hit you dead in the head and knock you on your little feet...

This poem is beautiful. It makes me think the way a person can be blinded by either love or hatred. Keep up the good work
