The Way I Look At you
Same time.
Same place.
Same class.
Whatever.
Shrug it off.
Yet I find my eyes
wandering to where you sit.
Not what I need.
You look in my direction,
but you don't see me,
do you?
Not in the same way
that I see you.
A friend,
a pal,
that's all you see of me.
I hold in my feelings,
keep them locked away
knowing we will never be.
But the pain eats away
at my sore heart.
And I wish for just a second,
you could look at me,
the way I look at you.
