Yesterday
There's a pulpit deep down in my chest
Burning like the voice dying in my throat
My heart strangled to death
What the f*** were you thinking?
Where the hell do you go?
I don't understand why you did what you did
The sickly beast between your fingers
Poison slipping past your lips
It doesn't matter that you forget
It doesn't matter at all
There's a creature knocking at the door
Blood seeping through the crack
But it doesn't matter anymore
I guess you don't care about much
Not anything at all
We press against each other, hearts and souls deified
An attempt to squeeze out the world
From the corners of our eyes
I know that mistakes will be made
And they make me love you even more
Than I did yesterday
