Snow Angel
Empty thoughts of snow
Drift in and out of consciousness
As his blood begins to flow
Into a world better left unsaid
The harsh wind burned his skin
Matches illuminating those closet nights
Memories and what could have been
Traced with fingers in the sky
Bundled up, he sits on front steps
He does not know their owner
But sometimes he looks through the window
And sees a happy family
Snowflakes rest on his face
And he sees you off in the distance
He wants to ask if you have a place
Where you can spend the night
And maybe share a bed
Because you look like you could
Take all those demons away from him
Turn his life around, so he never sees misery again
