we do not second anything
We do not second anything
 We met before
 I don’t recall where
I don’t think you remember either
You been in heaven quite a while
I been in hell too long

I do know we had a story
Over the years, I have been telling it
You don’t seem to remember that either
For that, I shall remind you

I was born in the eye of a hurricane
 you climbed Jacobs ladder
I once designed a world so perfect that I had the divine right
 You had next in line

I declared myself a one of a kind

 I fell on earth once
Which made it hard for Atlas
Since, I took my sweet time getting up, I caused the continents to break apart

 Helium is what I craved
So you gave it to me

We walked through the sun, and felt its heat
With our good looks it was no math for us
 Like the impossible?
 I am a mystery

 But, so are you

Once you got me so angry that I caused 2012 to happen
Giving hate a chance to love
 Every beginning had an ending
I decided what began and what ends
With you as my wing man of course

And, well love took its turn

Every day the world told me that I am loved
It told you that you are needed
With its hidden secrets that yet anyone but us was to know about
The world wanted to know why things just happen?
I assured the world it isn’t because they simply do
In return for its love, I gave the world my heart
You gave my heart a beat

”Love shall live forever on“, we said

 Our generation created life
 I once created apples
 Sins ended up creating forgiveness

We were the ones who were quickly judged
 Nothing knew of us
Nothing except our mistakes and what I once had
 We were not perfect
 So don’t say we were
I got what I wanted, but I work for it
You got what you wanted because I gave it to you
We earned our stripes and we kept them

We were too real to seem fake

 I cried hail
 You smiled gold
 I even spitted the truth
 You walked on water
And yet, I was able to cry the river

We could have done anything if we tried

 We tried, we succeed
 Everyone else tried, they failed
 We weren’t a competition

 Nor a joke
