I'm too late now
Inflicted hurt
I did allow

The clear-cut tear
The anguished yelp
The pain-filled cries
The call for help

And now I see
The blackened heart
The very one
I tore apart

Remorse I have
'Ternal regret
For what I've caused
For what I've let...
