Look at these filthy knees of mine!
caked with dirt, scabby, skinned,
pretending not to hurt or slime.
My mother asked,
HOW have you sinned?
But I just shrugged
--and then I grinned!
How do YOU know you've really lived?
Look at these filthy knees of mine:
Half eaten fruit on lips of time.
