Soft pounding of a drum
Steady and still.
Then a presence is recognized
The pace quickens
A distinctive smell
So familiar to tell
Suddenly an embrace met.
Calm serenity safe
Wrapped within each other
Becoming tighter and tighter
Still not, close enough
To become one
Moreover, melt within one another
Tender gently relaxed
Soft strokes running
Through rushes thick and lush.
Peace of mind
Body in rest
Soul at ease
All of which can be summed
In one word:
Love

I've always avoided love. I've done whatever I can to not allow myself to fall under it's powerful spell. To me, love is a powerful emotion that in some ways, scare many people. For you though, I can see that you not only accepted the emotion, but you embraced it. You are able to show this through the lines of this piece. Although everyone feels love differently, I can actually get a sense of how you truly felt about Dariel. Very good job.
