"They say that right before you die, your life flashes before your eyes. Make it worth watching."

Can't you see
I have a little bit of what you'd call
A huge and out of this world crush on you
And when we hang out
you have no idea
How unbelievably happy it makes me
To stand next to you as we walk
Through the halls and vent and talk
But boy you had better learn
How to treat a girl because
We are not dudes
And don't appreciate being called a man
Maybe today's heart is reserved for you
But I have plenty of days
And my heart get's bored pretty easily
So get it together before it's too late
And you're stuck with the fact that
There is no rewind button in the game of life
Just press play

It's funny how inspiration can come from the strangest places. I believe this piece came from a text message that went a little something like, "Dude, you'll never guess what blah blah, blah, blah blah." I cringed. Do boys really know nothing? But I digress, here's my latest poem entitled "Just Play." Enjoy!
