I heard the thunder
I heard the scream
I was there to tell you
It was only a dream

I'd promised you
We'd make it till the end
I'd promised you
We'd make it around the bend

But we failed
But I lied
But we were cursed
But we were sunk

We grasped at hope
We held onto the good
We fought for
What we thought was right

Yet here we are
Strayed on the ground
Clasping each others' hands
Fighting for the last breath

I have betrayed you
I have ruined you
I am sorry
I love you
