I believe in the sun even if it isn't shining. I believe in love even when I'm alone. I believe in God even when he is silent.

Little girl three years old on the ground beaten half to death
Spitting up blood and an tooth while her mom beats her more
Wondering what she did wrong to make her so mad
Maybe it's because I'm ugly like my mom tells me she thinks
Or because I don't deserve love
Just as she trys to get up her mom kicks her until she hears a crack in her spine
The only thing she does before she dies is whisper to her mom
I'm sorry for being too ugly mommy
With those last words her soul is brought to heaven where love and happiness last forever

This poem is about how serious child abuse is. A child shouldn't have to indure that kind of pain. Just the love of a family.
