For a little bit
I cared
about his smile
about his hair
For a second
I was aware
of his body
and his hands
For a moment
I was notified
at every word
and every pause
But it passed
as you passed me
as I held back
it was gone
its later now
and now you notice
but i have passed
like a memory
I have passed
you are late
you noticed too late
and i didn't wait

oh and about the uniquley bad break-up which relates to this, first ofall sorry :/ and second i can commiserate. i think we both had a similair one. maybe thats why i like this so much, on top of the obvious skill portrayed

first of all - best one of yours i have read yet! this was amazing, but now i have to be nit-picky since it was good ;) i feel like memory could be replaced by a better word, because althought i know what you mean...the memory didnt pass. time did, but thats not right either. and the last line would sound better, atleast to me, if it was "did not wait", and the above would sound better as "you're late" yeat again, atleast to me. because right underneath is another you. but anyways i reeally like this. you really packed in the meaning and storyint o so little words. amaazing!
