Favorite Quote:
According to Greek mythology, humans were originally created with four legs, four arms and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them apart, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other half.

You fancy me mad.
The disease has sharpened my senses.
I must rid of the Eye.
Thee vexed me.
You fancy me mad.

Moving slowly and being patient.
How could a madman be so cautious?
The Evil Eye,
must be banished.
You fancy me mad.

My power was felt throughout my whole body.
What was I to do?
The Eye, glistening mysteriously,
stared back at me.
You fancy me mad.

I could stand it no longer.
Groaning, I heard, in the pits of the soul.
Overcharged with awe.
Veiled was the Eye.
You fancy me mad.

My time was up.
I must complete the dirty task.
I worked in silence.
The Eye was no longer.
You fancy me mad.

Under the floorboards he went.
I heard a knock.
The authorities.
Invited to chat.
You fancy me mad.

Heart beat.
Possible? No.
Yes!

I wrote this about Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell Tale Heart." It was an assignment for my eighth grade english class.
