It's cold winter nights like these that I spend looking at the stars wishing I was anywhere else but here.
Wanting to rip out my slow but steady pulsating heart and bury it out in the snow
No one understands why I feel this way
No one makes an attempt to try
Temptation is all around me but I find it DEEP within myself to ignore it.
I could slowly peel off my skin and yet I'd feel nothing
I try to close my eyes wishing to be somewhere and someone else but each time I am disappointed
Sadly not a night goes by where I'm not looking at the starts feeling down and blue
I see it as my little escape from the world
