Listen to Who
Sitting here alone in the emptiness that is my life
Wondering what can and will happen to me
Sitting up in a big black chair staring into the night
Wondering is this how it's supposed to be
Am I meant to be here or am I lost and astray
Do I stay here for just two seconds or for forever and a day
What am I supposed to see
Cause right now there's nothing in front of me
Or is it, tell me, am I looking right past it
It it supposed to be as obvious like how Barbie's made of plastic
I know love is blinding but I'm not in love
And it's 10A.M. so shouldn't there be a sun up above
I don't know what else this could be
Is this what I needed to make me happy
Painted a perfect picture or at least it's in my mind
But now it looks as though it is coming to life
Wait a minute it can't be done because it's still dark
Have I come to the beginning of a new journey that I must embark
Trusting in you I'll take a few steps ahead
But there is this constant voice inside my head
It's telling me not to go; to stay put and still
But I'm going to listen to you because for you I will. . .
Ahh! That's it. . .I know now what I must do
From now on I need to learn to listen to you
