Emotionless

They say you cannot have joy without sorrow?
What if I don't want either?
Can I not just sit here and watch it all go by?
People say they want to be happy forever,
Eternally hold the endless joy of a child.
Never feel pain.
Happiness can be ignorance though.
I still want my free thought, just by itself.
Observe, without the rest.
I dont want sadness.
I dont want anger.
And, dear god, I do not want love.
All that brings is pain.
I want constant neutral.
Constant nothing.
I want to be emotionless.
