Between God and Man
These written words mean nothing to me
Just numbers marching across the page
This deafening quiet that fills my ears
All it does is bring me to tears

Your perfect face inside my dreams
 Pixilated images designed to deceive
I’m crying out, crying for mercy
 Save me before I fall

 Nothing’s real, unless it’s fake
Uplifted arms are all that’s left
The sound of smiling and the feeling of darkness
 Are simply meaningless

Now the divine calls with a whispered taunt
But I never seem to know what I want
I lay battered and broken yet whole on the outside
Truly, He will save me from you
