Why I Dislike Writing
It’s hard to come up with good ideas like this,
And there are so many complicated tricks.
 I actually think that think that this piece sounds bad;
Plus, stories are hard to continue,
And I don’t think that I’ll ever get to the ending.
My chapters don’t seem long enough,
And I haven’t learned many types of poems.
I feel frustrated when I do something wrong,
Reading is simpler, and doesn’t take so long.
It takes days to come up with ideas,
And then when I finally do,
I start to write and then two weeks later,
I realize it’s not my best.
All those great authors, J.K. Rowling, Christopher Paolini,
They make it look so easy,
To write an eight hundred page book.
 I think for a while,
I get an idea, and then find it hard to finish one page.
I work for hours on end,
 Brainstorming and drafting,
 Editing and revising,
All to realize it doesn’t sound as good as I’d hoped.
 I think and I think
 For something to jot down,
But my mind is so blank
You could write this on it.
At least I don’t have to think of characters,
Or come up with a setting or plot.
We have to write for so long at a time,
And put so much into a page of work.
 Scrambling for computers,
Just to say “I’ll finish my rough draft”,
 On a computer I don’t even have.
 I don’t know what’s the difference
Between a revise and an edit,
But I still kinda don’t care.
I say to myself, why are there so many steps?
That seem to exist to confuse me.
 I’m desperately thinking
 For something to write
 But nothing comes to mind.
Now I can have a computer,
 Finish my rough draft,
And be done until next time.

Both articles are interesting, thought provoking (in different ways), and very enjoyable to read. Great use of descriptive words to capture and convey your thoughts. I hope that I'll see more. Fun!!
