Our Sweet Love Affair
Floating down, down
The October leaves fell to the ground
Just as our sweet love affair, couldn’t bear to hold on any longer
Sharp breaths fill the silence
Slow tears roll down
Hitting the ground like raindrops from the nearing storm
“You know i love you”
Your words ringing in my head
“But i have to go now, our time has gone”
Blood rushing faster, faster
Knees shaking, strength wavering
“Please don’t go, it’s not the end”
But it’s not enough
Distance fills the space between our hearts
And I’m floating down, down
I fall to the ground
Just as our sweet love affair, couldn’t bear to hold on any longer
This is not how it’s supposed to be
