"I dream I'm on the surface of my own life, watching it unfold."

How does the little gray wolf
improve his stunning act,
polish his masks day and night
twisting fiction and fact,

how charmingly he seems to sing
tales which enchant us all,
and welcomes little lambs in
with gently smiling jaws.

How does the little gray wolf
lap up the searing cold,
and pour the raven moonlight
into his bottomless soul

how endearingly he seems to sigh
at the trapped lambs in a neat row,
and he gently grins good-bye
as the red silence begins to flow.

This poem was adapted from Lewis Carroll's 'How Does A Little Crocodile'. I found the words so powerful ad subtle I thought I'd try it out myself.
