something you might not know
but I hold it very dear
is that I was born in London
but now then I was adopted
and I was brought back here
though I love America
and my life is coming along
on Warwick Avenue
my heart will always belong
Yes, I still have an accent
of that you may be assured
and when I try to talk "normal"
my words sometimes slurr
so now you know my history
and this is coming from the heart
my heart and those foggy streets
will never ever part
