All About Him
I know I will regret this,
trying to find my voice.
T go out into the world,
finding something different.
This feeling affects how I think,
making my constant thoughts about him.
We see their faces for the first time,
ant it feels like we belong together.
Finding our life dreams are shattered,
it is no longer just a walk in the park.
We think about it day and night,
about that special person in the store.
We open our eyes seeing them everywhere,
trying to escape closing our eyes.
Now working we try to find someone else,
we try and try but their face intervenes.
Watching and wondering,
we doubt they will go away.
Sliding down our faces,
our tears start to flow.
Regretting our actions,
we try to hide in humility.
But it blows up in our face,
so we try to run to our hiding.
We spent our life playing,
always playing follow the leader.
They didn’t want us listening,
at least not to our hearts.
Falling down the stairs of life,
we can’t hold on to anything.
We listen to the thumping of our hearts,
while we think about the guy at the crosswalk.
We run into the ones we love,
on the day we don’t expect it.
We stare into their eyes,
thinking this is the one.
You pass right by,
I stop you by the arm.
I start to confess,
you stop me mid sentence.
You said I love you to,
I started to cry.
You took me in your arms,
we stand together forever
