A Dreamless Sleep

The Wind and the Water
and the Sounds of the Sea
The Waves crashing down
on You and Me
We Struggle for breath,
Our souls wane
We become part
of the Ocean and Rain
I ask myself how Death
can be so Empty and Bare
As we Surrender ourselves
to its timeless stare
Floating down to the
Terrors of the Deep
I submit myself
to an Unending Sleep.
