Beneath the Looking Glass
Looking in the mirror
I see cuts
I see scars
I see words burned
Into my skin.
I see devilish laughter
I see bruises and tears
I see my life hanging by a thread
And my feet standing on the edge.
I see eyes that are too small
And hair a mess,
I see an ugly face,
A piece of trash.
I see blood
As I'm shaking
Welcoming fear
