Green
Green to some means jealousy
I know that shade of green.
I've felt it as a child
And since every mile.
Green to some means spring season
Oh how I know that shade of green
In that time I knew green best
And lo with a loving caress.
Green to some means eternity
I long to know that shade of green
Once upon a time I believed it so
But now I stand here alone
Green to some means life
I know that with a hint of strife
For green was life and I was not
And so green left me.
