Life’s Rules

All the pressures of life;
What path to take,
Who to believe,
How to live,
What to do,
What to say.
Life’s expectations rule us.

We strive to please.
We strive to make things right.
We watch failures.
We listen to fights.
We show shame towards mistakes.
Life’s expectations rule us.

Love remains a mystery.
A kiss mends the heart,
Heaven heals the soul,
And life brings choices.
Life’s expectations rule us.
