As I Wait
Torn
There are days when we feel like walking away.
Although we say no more second chances,
It just gets more confusing every day.
We keep saying our love advances;
You promise me each night you will call.
Mixed tears of hope and sadness fall down like rain.
I keep my hopes up all night, then hard they fall.
As long as I’m with you my heart is in vain.
I treasure how you make me feel invincible
And even when I’m wrong you tell me I’m right.
When my life gets tough you don’t let me crumble,
Instead you point me to the stars that shine bright.
Yet I will always love you dearly for who
You can be, not for who you are. Torn.
