Together
If we had the world and we owned the sun
We’ll do everything and we’ll always have fun
And we’ll wipe the tears out from others eyes
And give them a hug and tell them not to cry
We’ll be the saviors of broken hearts
We’ll be the finders of all those lost parts
We’ll live our lives for the lives of others
And we’ll save the lives of dying mothers
Those less fortunate and those so depressed
We could bring them to be happy
We could bring them to wealth
We could cure the worlds’ sickness
And in dying we would feel accomplished
And better than we could have ever felt
We can do everyone a much needed favor
And that alone could bring the return of a savior
Selfless acts and an unbreakable patience,
We’d give our limbs to paraplegic patients
So they too can also be unbreakable
So they too can live a life that’s not deemed dull
So they too can do as we have before
So they too can run and swim and walk out that door
They’ll feel equal, and happy, and loved
And we’ll live the lives they lived, stricken from god above
If we could give our eyes to the blind
We would so they could cherish the color
We would give our ears to the deaf
Or let them live in our heads for a moment
They would appreciate it more than most
To see all the marvels of our world today
They would be able to distinguish
The most similar shades of the dullest grey
Acts of random kindness really change the Earth
And our lives could be different, for what it’s all worth
If we were to change the lives of another
We might be happy with ourselves…
