Beneath Ourselves
We live beneath our fears,
 Afraid to approach them.
 With fear, you forget the risks,
 Forget the falls, forget taking chances.

 With fears, love is absent.
 To be afraid of what will come
 Makes you scared of the future,
 Scared of change, scared of life.

 With fears, life is unlivable.
 Fear can take the best of you;
 It can control, abuse, and compromise.
 Fear is distressing emotions.

 With fear, you forget the risks,
 the falls, and the chances.
 You become scared of the future,
 of change, or life itself.
