why hearts are not to blame
Our hearts don’t have brains, nor do they have lips.
Therefore, they cannot speak our truths, and they cannot conceive our lies.
That is why we have faces.
They are our masks. Our guises.
They cover our truths and secrets with
smiles and lies.
So, to be two faced is to have double the lies
with half the heart.
Half secrets. And knife, ready for the back.
