How to Learn From Love
I will never forget what you taught me
How to be small
To Breathe the sea
To make a map of places we might meet
(Of little valleys and star-crossed streets)
I’ll throw my fears fast, way up high
Watch them soar (swallowed up in sky)
My broken flies away on swift strong wings
When I think of you and all these things
One last thing I’ll never forget
You taught me not to grow up; not yet.
