Snowboarding

2 boots
Tighten the laces
1 board
Sturdy
A little higher than my chin
2 bindings
Squeeze my foot in
Nice and snug
2 straps
Click them closed to a nice fit

The lift chair
Coming at a slow speed
A small hop
My bottom hit’s the seat
Were off to the top of Comet

Slide off the lift chair
Board hit’s the soft powder
I start gliding down
Carving left and right through the fresh snow

The author's comments:
I grew up in South Lake Tahoe and I grew up snowbording. When I moved to Vegas i stopped going because we couldn't afford to drive somewhere. So I wrote this poem as my memory of doing my favorite activity besides writing.

It does not matter your skill level when it comes to snowboarding, as long as your having fun, being safe and riding hard thats all that matters!(:

Thank you! I am always thinking of new ideas and things to write about and I feel I never have enough time, paper and ink to release those creations from my head!
